Homeschooling in Missouri with MOScholars?
Here's exactly how JyoLing fits your award.
MOScholars (Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts)
up to ~$6,375
a percentage of the state adequacy target, by eligibility pathway
Unlimited is $349.99 — around 5% of a typical MOScholars award, as a single line item.
● Odyssey (program administrator) · status: Approved — Odyssey marketplace. Missouri does not reimburse purchases made outside the marketplace — buy through your Odyssey account.
MOScholars moved to Odyssey in 2026, and a lot of published guidance has not caught up — you will still find vendor pages telling Missouri families to use ClassWallet. Awards run to roughly $6,375 depending on the pathway a student qualifies under.
The part worth checking before anything else is eligibility, because MOScholars is not open to every Missouri student the way some programmes are. It is worth five minutes now rather than a denial later.
What Missouri families should know
Not every homeschool family qualifies
A student needs at least one of: a verified IEP; low household income together with at least one full semester in public school last year; entry into kindergarten or first grade; or a sibling who already holds a MOScholars scholarship. If you have homeschooled for years with no IEP, you may not be eligible — and that is worth knowing before you plan around it.
It is Odyssey now, not ClassWallet
Missouri moved platforms in 2026. Several vendor pages elsewhere still say otherwise. Applications, funds and purchases all run through Odyssey.
Individual subscriptions only
Missouri does not accept family plans or lifetime subscriptions. Everything we sell is priced per student for twelve months, which is the shape the programme requires.
You will choose an EAO
Missouri keeps an Educational Assistance Organization layer, so your account may hold funds from more than one source with rules about which to spend first. Your EAO is the right first call on balance questions.

Missouri questions, answered straight
Do I qualify if I already homeschool?
Possibly not, and it is better to check now. You need an IEP, or low income plus a recent semester in public school, or a child entering kindergarten or first grade, or a sibling already on the programme. A long-standing homeschool family with none of those is likely ineligible regardless of what the funds could buy. Most pages will not tell you that, because it is easier to write about what the money covers.
How do I buy this with my award?
Through the Odyssey marketplace — log in and search for JyoLing. Families cannot be reimbursed from a scholarship account for purchases made outside it, so please do not pay by card expecting to claim it back.
How much will I get, and when?
Awards are a percentage of the state adequacy target and vary by pathway — Odyssey describes it as up to $6,375 or more. The 2026–27 disbursement calendar has not been published at the time of writing; we have asked the administrator and will put the dates here once we have them rather than guess.
Award figures are program-published ranges and change by year; eligibility and final expense approval always rest with your program administrator. We keep this page updated, and we never say "approved" before it's true.
